Main features
New Target – SAP Web Dispatcher
The SAP Web Dispatcher handles HTTP(S) requests from the internet to your SAP system. Its main duties are to allow or reject connections and distribute the load between the servers. Since it is the entry point to your SAP systems, it is crucial to correctly configure and secure the SAP Web Dispatcher. Therefore, we added it to the SSP target repertoire.
New Target – SAP HANA DB
The SAP HANA database holds all the data of the SAP system, making it crucial to secure. Failing to do so could affect business continuity. Thus, supporting it as the next target was an obvious choice.
Improved patch and delivery process
We replaced our patch and delivery process completely with an automated solution. In the new solution you as an end user can decide when and how you want the SSP to be updated. You have the following options:
- Automatic download & installation of the patch
- Automatic download, but manual installation of the patch
- Manual download & installation of the patch

As always, we have updated all Testcases to check for the latest releases of components, kernels, and security patches for all available target types.
SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP
For this target type, 1 Testcase was improved in the category GDPR.
SAP Web Dispatcher
For this new target type, we added an initial set of 5 Testcases across the categories: Patch management, network security and access control.
